The Manage Dashboard
The Manage Dashboard gives you an easy to digest look at recent activity across all your systems, subsystems and accounts and provides direct access to logged events and other notifications in the console.
- Browse systems, groups, applications, and subsystems for recent activity.
- At a glance, see open events needing your attention and events you have recently closed.
Manage Systems Map
The Systems Map gives you a high level view of all of our systems and subsystems as detected by the FiveRuns Client.
- View systems and the subsystems detected on each.
- Drill down to view key performance metrics for your monitored systems and explore those further using detailed metric graphs and performance information.
- Quickly see which subsystems are sending data to the FiveRuns Manage service, those that have yet to communicate with the service or are misconfigured.
- Easily register new systems to be monitored.
- Configuration instructions for common subsystems are one click away.
Manage Rails Application Analytics
Manage allows you to view and filter important performance metrics for your production Rails applications. Statistics across the Model, View and Controller are gathered such as averages, slowest and fastest performing models or views and more making it easy to explore application problems and bottlenecks.
- Browse and select a particular system and production Rails application for which to view performance metrics.
- See a full list of actions in the selected application grouped by their respective controllers. Select an action to see all its related MVC information.
- Take a closer look at the amount of time spent in the controller, model and view layers.
- Filter method invocation information by the model, view or controller layer to see common metrics such as average, slowest and fastest invocation times, ordered by severity for the currently selected filter.
Manage Triggers
Want to immediately learn when your Rails apps slows down or becomes unavailable? FiveRuns Manage lets you set up contextual triggers for different system conditions. When conditions are met, triggers create events, and users are automatically notified via notification chains.
- Select one of the packaged triggers included with FiveRuns Manage, or quickly create triggers spanning one of more subsystems and collect the information that matters to you.
- Easily set the conditions for a trigger from any of the metrics collected by FiveRuns Manage.
- When a trigger is activated and an event recorded, you or your team need to be notified. Create and assign notification chains to your triggers to prioritize when and to whom notifications are sent.
Interactive Metrics
Fully interactive, granular metric graphs let you correlate performance metrics across Rails applications and all of your other monitored systems and subsystems.
- Drill into of your systems, subsystems, or any components of your Rails application to get detailed graphs of performance metrics.
- The cursor follows your mouse movements and the displays the exact metric values of the graph.
- As you move across the graphs, the cursor in each graph is aligned, allowing you to correlate performance metrics across the framework.
- If enabled, triggers are highlighted on the graphs giving you a picture of how your systems and applications are performing against the specified trigger conditions.
Reports
Reports simplify the collection and interpretation of data into meaningful information, helping resolve issues quickly. By automatically collating all the supporting data for a primary report, Reports assist users with problem resolution regardless of skill level.
- Reports automatically group metrics that reflect the performance and health of your systems into easily selectable report options.
- Easily customize Reports to include the systems, applications, and metrics you want.
- The cursor follows your mouse movements and the displays the exact metric values of the graph in the report.
- As you move across the graphs in the Reports, the cursor in each graph is alligned, allowing you to easily correlate performance metrics.
